(and no, I didn’t watch the video, but I know the computer world has gone RGB crazy. Me? I don’t want to see or hear my computer, and all these lights just means more power consumption for zero functionality improvement).

I have never owned a desktop computer, but I was given a free mouspad from BCM when I bought am AR15 upper from them. Weird marketing on their part.

I never understood the RGB light-up thing beyond just showing off. The look is played out and predictable, and it’s just objectively bad for your gaming experience. If you’re serious about video games you want to be immersed into the story and the atmosphere. So you’re then on a long walk to the top of Skyrim, everything is cold and white, but there’s your RGB MONSTR RAZR LIGHT UP LOOK AT ME SHOW right in your face, breaking the immersion. Your walls light up in shouty red which has nothing to do with the cold mountain you’re on. And it would be ridiculous to have to change the lighting every time you move to a different setting.

It’s meant to be for gamers, by gamers, but it couldn’t be less detrimental to your gaming if they tried, which they obviously are.
